How to redirect your path for a successful future

Psalm 119:105 New International Version (NIV)

105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.

Where do you get direction for your life?

Application:

  • The role of a lamp is to provide light in the darkness.
  • Light illuminates your mind to process direction easier.
  • Watch where you step or choose to guess where you step. (Be careful what you will find under your feet)

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]

How is your path made straight?

  • Evaluate who or what you are trusting in.
  • Where you seek your knowledge determines your understanding.
  • As your heart pumps blood throughout your body so should your heart pump the trust of the Lord throughout your life.
  • He holds the keys to your life use them and not yours.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

How do you know you are displaying the fruits of the spirt?

  • Keys that God has given us will dramatically open up locked doors in your life.
  • Barriers are built when there is and absents of the fruits of the spirit.

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

What does God’s plan entail for us?

  • God’s promises demand prosperity, safety, hope and a clear future.
  • God creates a fence around you. (Psalms 91)
  • God provides provision for His vision for you.

John 14:1-3

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me.My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

What does Jesus promise that gives us comfort?

  • The secret to success is to don’t be afraid to cash the check. Jesus promised beyond this world there is so much more in store for you.
  • What you believe is displayed in your thoughts and eventually to comes to pass in your actions.
  • Don’t put limits on God; if He spoke it, He has confirmed it and He will deliver it.
